Sell your Turo gift card for cash
We buy Turo gift cards at 75% of the balance, $10 minimum and no maximum, paid by PayPal or Cash App within 24 hours.
Turo is a car sharing marketplace rather than a rental counter, and its gift card behaves accordingly. The card arrives by email carrying a single PIN. Entering that PIN on your account page converts it into travel credit, which then sits in your Turo balance and applies itself to the next trip you book. There is no card number, no plastic and no way to move the credit back out once it has been applied.
That one-way step is the thing to get right in the correct order. An unredeemed Turo PIN is a transferable asset that anyone can use. A redeemed one is a number on your account that only you can spend. If you are weighing up selling, do not redeem it first to see what it says — the balance you would be checking is the balance you would be locking.
Turo also puts conditions in front of redemption that a lot of cardholders cannot clear. You need a Turo account, a US mailing address, a US payment method on file, and you have to be approved to drive before you can book. People who receive a Turo card as a gift, a prize or a work incentive routinely discover one of those is missing, and a card you cannot redeem is worth nothing to you and full value to someone else.
Then there is the marketplace itself. Turo credit is only spendable where a host happens to list a car you want, on the dates you want it, at a price the credit covers. In a dense city that is easy. Outside one it is three conditions that all have to land at once, which is why Turo balances stall more often than hotel or retail credit does.
Turo gift cards do not expire, and neither does the travel credit they become. The credit covers the trip total on a booking rather than being restricted to the daily rate, and any remainder stays on the account for next time. What it will not do is come back out: there is no cash-out, no transfer to another member, and no way to undo a redemption.
Keep it if you already drive on Turo, or if you live somewhere with real host density and an airport trip coming up. Sell it when the prerequisites are the problem rather than the money — no US payment method, not approved to drive, under the age the hosts you want will rent to — or when you simply rent from a counter instead. A credit you are not eligible to use is not a discount on a future trip, it is a stalled asset.
Our rate on Turo is 75% of the verified balance, on any card from $10 up and with no ceiling on the amount. It sits below the standard 80% for the same reason every travel card does: the credit is slower to verify, harder to resell and carries more conditions attached to it than store credit. A $500 card pays $375.
There is no public Turo balance lookup — the amount lives on your account page under Travel credit, and an unredeemed card simply shows the figure it was bought for. Send us the PIN exactly as it appears in the gift card email, including any dashes, and we check it by hand before paying. If the confirmed amount differs from what you entered, you see the corrected offer first and can decline at no cost.
Nothing is final until you submit. You can still back out at review.

How to check your Turo balance
Check it on Turo's own site before you sell. You will need the gift card pin — Turo cards carry one code and no PIN. The code is usually under a scratch-off panel on the back, or in the email if the card is digital. Enter the balance here exactly as it reads.
