Questions people actually ask

Everything below is answered plainly, including the parts that are less flattering to us. If a question you have is not here, the brand page for your card usually covers the specifics.

How fast do I actually get paid?

Most PayPal and Cash App payments go out within 24 hours of you submitting the card, and often the same afternoon. We check the balance with the brand first, and that check is the only thing standing between you and the money. Paper checks take 5 to 7 business days because the mail is the mail.

Why 80% and not more?

Because the moment we buy the card, the risk is ours. We front you cash before we have resold anything, and some cards come back drained, cloned, or dead on arrival. That 20% covers the losses, the balance checks, and the payment fees. You are trading a slice of the value for certainty and speed, and you know the exact number before you commit to anything.

Is this safe? You're asking for my card number.

Card numbers and PINs are encrypted at rest and only the verification admin can see them, never other sellers and never our support staff. We need the full number for the same reason a store does: it is the only way to confirm the balance is really there. We also hold the card for 30 days after paying you, so if something is disputed there is a record on both sides.

What if my card has less on it than I entered?

Nothing bad happens. We check the real balance, recalculate the offer at the same rate, and show you the corrected number before a single dollar moves. If the new amount does not work for you, you say no and keep the card. People misremember balances constantly and it is not held against you.

Do you take partially used cards?

Yes, and most of what we buy is partially used. A card with $37.18 left is worth exactly the same to us per dollar as a fresh one. Enter whatever is actually on it, down to the cents, as long as it clears the brand's minimum.

What if the card doesn't work at all?

Then we reject it and you owe us nothing. A dead card gets a rejection note explaining what came back, the card stays yours, and there is no charge or penalty of any kind. It happens more often than you would think, usually because a card was already spent and forgotten.

One thing we will never do

We will never ask you to pay a fee to receive your payment, and we will never ask for your bank login, your card PIN over email, or a verification payment up front. Anyone doing that is not us. The only thing we ask for is the gift card number and PIN, on this site, over HTTPS.
