Sell your IKEA gift card for cash
Sell your IKEA gift card for 80% of the balance. $10 to $2,000 per card, paid by PayPal or Cash App within 24 hours.
IKEA credit is furnishing money, and furnishing happens in bursts. Someone moves, buys everything at once, and whatever is left on the card has no follow-up purchase attached to it. Until the next move — which might be years away — the balance has nothing to do.
The store network is also the sparsest of any major retailer on this list relative to its brand recognition. Large parts of the country are a long drive from an IKEA, and while the online business covers some of that, delivery costs on flat-pack furniture change the maths considerably. A card for a store you would need to make a day of visiting is a card that waits.
IKEA is also unusually common as a housewarming and wedding gift, which puts credit in the hands of people at their busiest and least likely to sit down and browse. And IKEA refund cards — issued for returns — look similar but are a separate instrument; check which one you have.
We pay 80% of the verified balance, flat, on cards from $10 to $2,000. A $250 card pays $200. Partial balances are welcome and priced identically per dollar.
IKEA gift cards do not expire and can be used in store, online, and in the restaurants and Swedish food market inside the stores. The restaurant is the most underrated way to use up an awkward remainder if you are visiting anyway. IKEA also issues refund cards for returns, which look similar but are a different instrument — check which one you hold before assuming it is sellable.
If a move, a first flat or a nursery is coming, keep the card: IKEA is where that money goes furthest. Sell when the opposite is true — the house is furnished, the nearest store is a full day out, and the balance has been sitting since a housewarming several addresses ago.
Checking an IKEA balance requires an IKEA account and the card number plus the four-digit PIN from under the scratch panel, or the redemption code for a digital card. IKEA has moved its balance tooling around more than most brands, so if a saved link fails, start from the customer service section rather than assuming the card is dead.
We verify before paying. A confirmed balance lower than what you entered produces a corrected offer at the same rate, shown to you before anything moves, with no charge if you decline.
Nothing is final until you submit. You can still back out at review.

How to check your IKEA balance
IKEA does not have a stable public balance-check page we can link straight to, so the reliable route is to search for it and use the result on IKEA's own domain. You will need the card number and the PIN from the back of the card. Never enter those on a third-party site.
