Sell your Chewy gift card for cash
Sell your Chewy gift card for 80% of the balance. $10 to $2,000 per card, paid within 24 hours with no fees.
Chewy is online-only and subscription-led, which changes how its gift cards behave. Once a card is redeemed it becomes an account balance that applies to future orders, and it cannot be moved back out. If you are not going to order from Chewy, the sellable moment is before redemption, not after.
The subscription model also produces a specific stranding pattern. Autoship customers have a card on file and orders that run themselves; a gift card balance sits alongside that and gets consumed slowly and invisibly, or not at all if the account was set up before the card arrived.
Chewy cards are a very common new-pet and condolence gift — the company is well known for both — which means a meaningful share of them are held by people whose circumstances have changed since the card was given.
We pay 80% of the verified balance, flat, on cards from $10 up to $2,000. A $250 card pays $200, and part-used balances are priced identically per dollar.
Chewy gift cards do not expire, and once redeemed the balance applies automatically to future orders including Autoship deliveries and the pharmacy. The pharmacy route is worth knowing: prescription pet medication is a recurring cost that a gift card can genuinely offset, which is not true of most human pharmacy credit.
Sell before redeeming if you are not going to order. An unredeemed card is transferable; an applied balance belongs to the account permanently. That matters most for the condolence and sympathy cards Chewy is known for, which frequently arrive after a pet has died and have no remaining use for the household that received them.
Chewy's returns and customer service policies are unusually generous, and the company is well known for refunding orders and telling customers to keep or donate the goods. That reputation is a real argument for spending credit there if you have a pet. It is not an argument for holding a card indefinitely if you do not — a balance sitting on an account you never log into is not benefiting from any of it.
Chewy handles gift cards through the account area at chewy.com/app/account/giftcard rather than a public checker. If the card is unredeemed, take the number and PIN from the card or the delivery email and enter that amount.
We verify before paying. If the confirmed balance differs from what you entered, the corrected offer is shown to you at the same 80% rate before anything is sent, and nothing is charged if you decline.
Nothing is final until you submit. You can still back out at review.
