Sell your Walgreens gift card for cash
Sell your Walgreens gift card for 80% of the balance. $10 to $2,000 per card, with payment initiated within 24 hours.
Walgreens cards have the same shape of problem as any pharmacy credit: the store is convenient, the range is broad and shallow, and the balance tends to get nibbled rather than spent. A card buys shampoo and a birthday card, leaves $12 behind, and that remainder survives for years because nobody plans a trip around it.
As at any pharmacy, the boundary between the shop and the pharmacy counter is where expectations break. People are often given these cards on the assumption they will help with medication costs, which is generally not how store gift cards work. Once that is discovered, the card loses the purpose it was given for.
Walgreens credit also arrives heavily through myWalgreens promotions, manufacturer rebates and paid research studies. Rebate cards are the single most-forgotten category of gift card there is, because the transaction that produced them was already mentally closed by the time they arrived.
We pay 80% of the verified balance with no tiering — $80 on $100, $200 on $250 — on single cards from $10 to $2,000. Partial balances priced identically per dollar.
Walgreens cards do not expire and cover front-of-store items, photo printing and the FSA-eligible health products the chain stocks. As with any pharmacy, they generally do not apply to prescription co-pays, which is the single most common mismatch between what a card was given for and what it can do.
If you buy toiletries or household basics at all, a modest balance disappears painlessly and is worth full value. Sell when the card was intended to help with medical costs it cannot touch, or when it arrived as rebate fulfilment for a purchase you have long since forgotten and you shop at a different chain.
Walgreens also operates its own photo service, and printing, canvases and cards are one of the few things in the store that scale to whatever balance you happen to be holding. A single photo book can absorb $40 without you having to find forty dollars of shampoo you did not need. If the card is going to be used at all, that is usually the least wasteful way to do it.
The balance tool lives on Walgreens' own gift cards page and needs the card number and PIN. That page has been stable and loads cleanly, which makes it one of the easier ones to check before you sell.
We confirm the figure before paying. If it is lower than you entered, you see the recalculated offer first and can walk away with the card still yours, at no cost.
Nothing is final until you submit. You can still back out at review.

How to check your Walgreens balance
Check it on Walgreens's own site before you sell. You will need the full card number and the PIN — usually under a scratch-off strip on the back, or in the confirmation email for a digital card. Enter the balance here exactly as it reads.
