We’re not buying Vanilla Visa gift cards
Vanilla Visa is one of the few things we turn down. Here is the actual reason.
The reason
Open-loop prepaid product. Balances move too fast for us to verify safely.
None of this means the card is a bad card. It means we cannot price it honestly and pay you quickly at the same time, and we would rather decline than quote you a number we might have to revise downwards after you have committed.
The practical advice is to use it or pass it on to someone who will. If you have other cards sitting around, the brands listed below are ones we buy today, at up to 80% of the balance.
