Sell your Gap gift card for cash
Sell your Gap gift card for 80% of the balance. $10 to $2,000 per card, with payment initiated within 24 hours.
A Gap gift card is really a Gap Inc. gift card, and that is the most useful thing to know about it. The same card is honoured at Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Athleta and the factory stores, in person and online. A card that seems useless because Gap is not your brand may be perfectly good at Old Navy for the kids or Athleta for training kit.
That flexibility is real and it still does not stop these cards going unused, because apparel gifting has a high miss rate. Size, cut and taste are all guesses, and the recipient often has no immediate need for clothes at all. The card gets kept for a future shopping trip that never quite gets scheduled.
Gap Inc. cards also arrive in volume as rebate and promotion fulfilment, which is the least-planned-for kind of gift card. And because the brands run near-continuous promotions, regulars are trained to wait for the right discount — waiting that easily outlives the intention to spend.
We pay 80% of the verified balance, flat, on cards from $10 to $2,000. A $100 card pays $80. Part-spent cards are priced identically per dollar.
Gap Inc. cards do not expire, carry no fees, and work across Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Athleta and all the factory and outlet formats, in store and online. One card covering five brands at five price points is unusually flexible, and it is the first thing to exhaust before deciding a card has no use.
Sell when the whole group has drifted away from you. That happens more than people expect: store closures have thinned the mall footprint considerably, and if online is your only route, apparel bought without trying on is a gamble a lot of people decline. A card that only works through a channel you avoid is not really a usable card.
Gap Inc. also runs a shared loyalty programme across its brands, and points earned in one shop can be spent in another. That reinforces the main point about these cards: treat them as group credit rather than brand credit, and the odds of finding something you actually want go up considerably.
The balance checker is at gap.com/my-account/gift-cards-balance, and the sibling brands run the same tool on their own domains. Any of them will read a card from any of the family.
We confirm the balance before paying. If it comes back lower than entered, you see the recalculated offer before anything is sent and can keep the card instead, at no cost.
Nothing is final until you submit. You can still back out at review.

How to check your Gap balance
Check it on Gap's own site before you sell. You will need the full card number and the PIN — usually under a scratch-off strip on the back, or in the confirmation email for a digital card. Enter the balance here exactly as it reads.
